12-hour online theory – 7-hour private/semi-private practice at Académie Dectro or 14-hour in group
Thermocoagulation is a specialized treatment using a probe through which a high-frequency electric current flows to eliminate certain superficial vascular, raised and pigmentation cutaneous imperfections such as telangiectasia, spider veins, cherry angiomas and molluscum pendulum. This specialization is perfect for electrologists and aestheticians who wish to expand their business by providing an additional service to their clientele.
Académie Dectro created an online platform to cover all theoretical aspects of thermocoagulation. Four chapters are available for a total of 12 hours of theory. Each chapter uses visually presented material and includes a PDF manual as well as an evaluation in the form of a quiz. The quizzes are completed online and students will receive their grade immediately. A few short videos are also available.
Once the online theory is completed, the student must attend the practical part of the course at the accredited Académie Dectro. Under the supervision of instructors with professional backgrounds, students will practise their knowledge acquired online and succeed in the final theoretical and practical evaluations. During practical sessions on a model, Eclipsia 27 MHz device, registered by Health Canada, is used to treat different cutaneous imperfections. Many modalities and preset programs are available to ensure a safe and professional application.
